Description

Aim of Seminar

The aim of the seminar is to bring together researchers,industry, policy planners and provide a forum for exchange of ideas, interaction, networking and collaboration for research & development in the field of Wireless Communication and Networking with Special emphasis on the current and future trends in Adhoc & Sensor networks.

This two day seminar will provide the fundamental understanding of how wireless networks work and the latest research and development being done in this field. It is expected that this interaction would result into discussion of latest problems and solution in this field. The seminar will have plenary talks, Invited talks and a workshop on Adhoc and Sensor Networks where the simulation and hardware implementation of Adhoc and Sensor Networks will be demonstrated.

School of Electronics & Communication Engineering

Established in 2005, the School of E&CE has established a credible reputation for providing quality education and research of high standards. The school offers B.Tech & M.Tech programs in Electronics & Communication Engineering besides offering a Doctoral program. Contemporary and Superior laboratories of learning and research have been established with support from industry giants like Xilinx & Freescale Semiconductors besides grants from DST & UGC, GOI. Short Term Courses, Faculty Development Programs and Conferences are conducted by the school on regular basis for development of national human resource.

A hands- on workshop session will be conducted for the participants on a test bed of Crossbow/Memsic nodes besides a demonstration on Qualnet -Wireless Network Simulation Software.

Submission Guidelines

Research papers are accepted through automated paper submission system using Easy chair. Candidates interested in submitting research papers are requested to follow the three step procedure:

  • Prepare original research/review paper in IEEE conference format(Template Attached)
  • After formatting the paper as per the format, log on to https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=wcnsn2012. If you have no EasyChair account you should first create an account.To this end, you should use the above mentioned Web page and click on "I have no EasyChair account" and create an account.
  • After logging in (and creating an account in case not created already), click on ‘New Submission’ towards top left , fill in the details of the author(s) and paper and upload the paper at the bottom of page.

Proceedings of Seminar will be published in form of booklet with an ISBN.

  • Registration Fee for Industry Personnel: Rs.1000/-
  • Registration Fee for Academicians / Research Scholars / Students: Rs.500/-

  Registration fee can be paid in the form of D.D drawn in favour of “The Registrar, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University” payable at Jammu/Katra.

Accommodation & TA

Accommodation and vegetarian meals shall be provided to the external seminar participants during the seminar at no extra cost. Travel allowance up to a maximum of Rs. 1000 shall be reimbursed to the participants from outside J&K on first come first serve basis and subject to availability of funds

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Climate: The average temperature (min-max) in Katra during the period of the Conference is about 25 -30 degrees celsius.

Special Attractions: Jammu - the Duggar land where the past still has a living presence is a land of grand ancient temples, and beautiful palaces. Known as a city of temples, Jammu has famous temples like temple of Goddess Kali and has emerged as a vibrant city of museums, malls and tourist spots like Mansar lake and is surrounded by enchanting hill stations like Patni Top located within an area of 100 kms. tow.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is located on 470 acres of land in the lap of Trikuta Hills, the abode of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi in the serene and enchanting ambience. It is located 40 Kms. North of Jammu, overlooking Jammu Srinagar national highway and is easily accessible through road, rail and air routes.
