SMVDU NSS Team Participates in “14th ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY NATIONAL INTEGRATION YOUTH CAMP” At World Peace Centre, MIT Pune

SMVDU NSS Team comprising of the following students and Team In-charge participated in the above mentioned event organized by “Foundation for Amity and National Solidarity (FANS)”. FANS is a social organization founded in Dec. 1984 totally committed for spreading the ideals of amity, communal harmony and universal brotherhood amongst our countrymen.

The students participated in various events starting from 24th Dec. morning, like group song, declamation contest, Peace March and group discussion etc. The students had opportunity and privilege to attend the presentations/lectures of and interactions with eminent personalities like Faroooq Sheikh, Ranbeer Kapoor, V.D. Karad, Virender Mohan Trehan and many others. The performances of students of SMVDU were appreciated by the FANS group and various participating colleges. Total number of 35 Universities of India had sent their representation in the Camp and around 350 students cutting across the corners of India participated in it. The highlights of the presentations given by the experts covered the issues like communal harmony, career building, personality development, yoga and spiritual health, moral degeneration, generation gap, challenges to environment, corruption and political scenario of the country. The event on communal harmony was a memorable one as all the participants were taken to the religious monuments/places of different religions in the city and were introduced to the beliefs and practices of them.
