To contribute to the world in general and India in particular through excellence in scientific and technical study of Economics and its specialized branches and serve as a valuable think-tank in providing solution to pressing economic problems confronting society, industry and environment.

Objectives

• To identify, based on informed perception of Indian, regional, and global needs, areas of specialization upon which the School can concentrate
• To undertake collaborative projects and outreach programs which offer opportunities for long-term interaction with academic and industry all across the globe
• To develop human potential to its fullest extent so that intellectually capable and imaginatively gifted leaders can emerge in the specialized areas
