The Workshop on "Bioinformatics: Converting data to knowledgebase" will make participants aware about the fundamentals of Bioinformatics, analysis of DNA and protein sequences, database searching and various aspects of Bioinformatics and Life Science. The workshop will include lectures and hands on sessions on information retrieval, file format, homology searching using BLAST and FASTA, Sequence alignment; pair wise and multiple and phylogenetics.
To highlight the application of Bioinformatics in life sciences and to create awareness among the participants for the use of basic Bioinformatics tools. Application of Bioinformatics, System Biology in current research.
